was messing around with my wife's Taylor 714 (my acoustic couch machine) last night and was reminded how much i love that D with the F# in the bass. I think i first heard it in an acoustic version of "Madman Across The Water" performed by Warren Haynes. I just realized you all might know it from "Wonderful Tonight". Here it is in a little ditty i call "Thing in G". Anyway, don't mind the old strings:

Nice Ian. I should be taking lessons from you. sorry. i only teach those who are "un-guarded" in their approach. But i'd love to jam with you... i'm sure we could both learn a thing or two.

I first learned that chord (D/F#) as one of the walkdown chords in Joe Cocker's version of "The Letter."
Am................. G ............. D/F# ............ F....... E
Oh, the lonely days are gone, I'm comin' home...Oh my baby she wrote me a letter....
I too love the chord!
Sweet little diddy there Ian; I thinG I diG a "ThinG in G."
