He all, Just e-mailed the Dr. to ask if I would void the warranty by taking the factory installed break lite out of the Monza, if not, I'm thinking about trying it with my Hot Rod Deluxe and setting up an ABY configuration with both the Monza and Hot Rod. I've got thick skin so if this is stupid let me know, please!!! I read post about some others doing this with a Maz and Monza so it got me thinking about my Hot Rod hiding under it's cover. The key is the warranty plus making sure the break lite can handle the Hot Rod, there's no way I'm doing anything to void the warranty on the Monza. Love that little baby!!!!!! Harry

Removing the brake lite should be perfectly fine - running it aby with a non-z amp on the other hand... Just kidding

Do you think that the Monza is quieter than the Hot Rod Deluxe? Does your Monza have the Master Volume on it AND the Brake Lite? Dr Z website says the Brake Lite can be used on any amp up to 45 watts so you should be good with the Hot Rod. Any ohms is acceptable with them.

Thanks for your reply's, The Monza is new so it has the MV and I ordered it with a break lite. The amp works great with and without the BL so that's why I thought about trying it on the Hot Rod. I'm still thinking things thru through. Harry

Yeah I think that I would put it in the Hot Rod because with the master volume you can match whatever volume the Hot Rod is set at. That's what I do with my Ghia and Monza. I just set the MV on the Monza to complement the Ghia volume level.
