Well my new Therapy made its way to the house on Tuesday and I have had a few hours with it now and I have to say this thing sounds incredible! All the descriptions have been right about this amp, fat, thick, harmonically rich overtones, perfectly smooth OD.... I'll stop with the buzz words... Anyways not that I was worried but I did need some cleans out of this thing for my intended uses as well and the Therapy delivers with some great cleans with more than enough headroom for my needs. I have it paired with my well broken in Z 2x10 w/Z 10s at the moment and like it a lot. I have a Gold in my MAZ Jr and may get another cab down the road and do some swapping. Thanks for all the descriptions, demos, and comments on here that helped me decide on my next Z, it's early but I feel I made the right decision.

Nice looking unit! You need Harvey to glue up a faceplate to match your Maz!

Awesome! Congrats and welcome to the club! It's only a matter of time before Harvey makes you an offer that you can't refuse. He's like the Godfather around here. I send my tribute to him on a regular basis for fear that I'll end up sleeping with the fishes.

I was playing it clean and with very low volume last night in the basement and it sounded great! I would by know means say this is a bedroom amp but for my low volume needs in the evening it does just fine for my situation.

I would by know means say this is a bedroom amp but for my low volume needs in the evening it does just fine for my situation. It'll take a BL on 2 clicks without killing the mojo if you need it quieter - any more than 2 clicks, and it looses too much tone, although still playable...... just FYI

Why a BL if amp has MV ?

Well, just to get it right down to true bedroom level, if that's needed....... The MV only goes down so far..... Then of course, if you want to get the MV up high to get the power tubes cooking, but tame the volume you can do that too........ I only use mine occasionally at home for the first reason. Never for gigging

Thanks for that Pete.
I guess my understanding of MV was not up to speed.

I guess my understanding of MV was not up to speed. I've never felt the need for an AirBrake, Brakelite or any other attenuator with my Therapy. The Master volume on this amp is that good. Of course I don't always play super saturated and compressed. Even at low volumes, clean or crunchy, the Therapy sounds great.....without help. To me and in my opinion.

I'm with Mark on this btw......... Only when I need it super quiet at home would I throw a couple of clicks on the BL, otherwise the MV is all I use, and all that's needed........

I've thought about getting a BL over the years but my home night playing is always clean by choice and my amps have always sounded good enough. The master on the Therapy works great, loving this amp so far. The drive on this amp is amazing to say the least, I'm liking just on the verge of breaking up with a tele a lot!
