Anybody have both? I'm curious as to how they compare to each other. I know both are the docs take on certain fender amps and I would like to hear some comparison from someone who has played both. I loved the bruno Cowtipper I had but it was not very reliable and gave me problems at several shows. Your opinion would be greatly appreciated.

I think Frankie Starr is the man for this one - he's been a big fan of the EZG50 for a while now (plays two in stereo, is that right Frankie?), and if I read the other posts right, is now a huge fan of the Therapy too?

I have both, and love both equally. If I had to choose one, it would be the Therapy.

I had both. Kept the EZG and sold the Therapy, with some regret. For what I wanted--big, rich SRV-ish cleans and OD from pedals--the EZG was pretty much an exact fit. The Therapy sounded great, too, but I think I figured out during the brief time I owned it that I'm a dedicated pedal guy, and the Therapy's strength isn't really as a pedal platform.

That's kind of where I'm at. I love using pedals for dirt and the therapy to me sounds best without pedals. I love the thickness of it but have been drooling over an EZG lately. I'm more of a combo guy as well. I know I can't go wrong with either but I'm torn on weather to get rid of my therapy and buy an ezg, or just keep the ezg. I wish I could just have both but there's now way I'm getting rid of my M12 or Zwreck.

EZG big, clean and loud. Therepy is much dirtier, and breaks up sooner, and more. EZG 50 watts Therepy 30, and it is very noticeable. Man, oddly enough, both being 6L6 amps, they don't sound alike at all .

Therepy is much dirtier, and breaks up sooner, and more. Put a 5751 in V1 on the Therapy and she'll clean right up. Use a 12 AY7 for even more clean/less dirt....

Nearly every gig I play, the Therapy is more than enough. The EZG50 is one of the best sounding amps I have ever owned, and with an Airbrake, I suppose I could use it for most jobs. With the Therapy, I'm able to obtain several different sounds from one amp, and it is so juicy sounding, and feeling, and can be tamed easier than most amps I've played. BTW, I had a chance to plug the Therapy into a friends old Fender 215 speaker cabinet, loaded with old JBL's from the late 60's, the other day, and was very impressed.

Run an air brake and play with the the pre and post and you can get a nice break up from the tubes, add an EP booster adn you are there. Add any OD you like Therapy: all by itself you got that rich, fat yet articulate OD. I like it with the OD just starting to break. Yes , you can get some nice cleans out of it...very nice cleans but no EZG cleans. Very nie tone with a strat or Tele You can't go wrong with either AMP. No right or wrong here.Just different amps
