My new EZG arrived home yesterday - love it, naturally ! Just one small problem; the reverb is very very quiet in terms of volume, and has to be have the 'dwell' and 'mix' to get maximum to get a slight bit of reverb coming from the amp. I've checked the valves/tubes On the Orange Vt1000 and they seem fine to me. Next, checked the tank itself to see if any springs have come loose, and it all seems fine too. Any ideas or checks that I can do ? I'm sure it's something minor. i have contacted the Dealer and the good Dr himself... But, it is a Sunday after all ! in the meantime, there may be something obvious I'm missing ? thanks in advance, Warren

Is this a brand new EZG? If so, don't worry Doc will make it right. The amp has more than enough verb to go satisfy most surfing needs. I assume you've unplugged and plug in all the cables several times. Try a little Deoxit on the ends of the cables and work them in and out a few times. Hopefully that might help.

Hi Mike,
As I said, I'm fairly sure it's something daft... It is a new one.
I'll try the detoxit in the meantime.
Appreciate your help guys, and I'll be contributing some positives to the forum in the days ahead !

The good Dr is kindly on the case, and I've every confidence the neighbours will soon hear that reverb roar !

hopefully its not the drive or recovery tubes. Possibly some loosing or damage during shipment? If you peek in the back can you see them glowing at all?

Braykes,
I did check the tank wires to see if they had come adrift... Seemed fine.
The irony is ive just sold a Vanamps Solemate Jr, which looked mighty like the EZG tank. i could have tried it to compare.
Nevertheless, Ive had an email from the Dr, and he is on the case. Superb, comprehensive service, as usual !

Even after I checked the tubes and cleaned \ re-seated all my connections, my 2011 EZG's verb is not what I would have expected strength wise. I probably just got spoiled by the Z-verb I had for years and my Fender blackface amps, Still, it's much improved over when I first got it and it's fine for 90% of my needs. It just won't do the really drippy surf stuff I would have expected from this amp. I suspect that there is still something not right about it but I'm done messing with it for now. Be sure and post when you get yours fixed up. I'll be interested in what the Doc suggests.
