Got a country backing from TGP, and gave a couple of passes... First is more traditional. Clean with some delay and a bit of 'verb from the amp. More along the Vince Gill/Steve Wariner lines. Second is dirtier, more modern-type country tone. Tips the hat more towards Brad P./ Keith U., etc. No 'verb, no delay. JC www.soundclick.com/bands/pagemusic.cfm?bandID=465770

You've got a great blend of chops, touch, and taste going on. Keep it coming! ;D
By the way, what is TGP?

JC Yeah it's quite different from this board. Lots of pro players & cool members, but also a busy place for their mods trying to keep the peace! If a Dr Z thread makes it past 20 posts, you're guaranteed some crap will go down.

Excellent. I especially like the tone of the "Clean Telecaster" track. It's the "Maz clean," which has a little something extra to it. Jayson, what are your compressor settings?

Great job, Bill! Man, that Stringray sounds cool... I can see what Mike Z meant when he described it as "piano-like." Very detailed. J

JChance -
Wow ... those are some excellent samples. My favorite is the Keeley DD3 Mod Demo with the Maz 18 Jr. Are you playing through a combo or a head? If you're playing through the head, what kind of cab are you using? I'm eventually going to buy the Maz 18 Jr., so I'm interested in which cab it would sound best through (e.g., 2x10, 1x12, 1x15, etc.).

really really pleasing tone jayson, i never used a compressor too much, i have heard it misused too much. have to get a keeley delay now though. sounded like hendrix stop/chops . dan weller told me you and others were in missouri at a fair the 31st, invited me to go but i had to work. you have a real nice country low voice too, if i remember from your clips.
