I'm wondering if anyone has tried mounting other heads (ie. MAZ series) in the Z-Wreck 1x12 combo cab yet?
I realize that the knobs would be facing the other way (adjust from behind the amp, not the front ala Z-Wreck); however, seems like everything should fit.
Just wondering...

I didn't think that there were any "other Z-wreck sized heads" out there--just the Z-wreck. The dimensions listed on Doc's website, as well as on benttop (Steve)'s amp spec sheet, seem to indicate that the Z-wreck chassis is shared with no other amps.

Hmm...I haven't checked the dimensions. I just assumed that the standard color Z-Wrecks (Black, Red, Blonde, Green) were the same size as the MAZ series, Stang Ray, Therapy, Antidote, Remedy, and SRZ-65. Are the dimensions on the website maybe a bit different for the Quantum silver heads? Not assuming anything...just curious. That's why I'm posting here.

One of the reasons that I ask...
I'm trying to hunt down a Z-Wreck (head or combo). At first, I was wondering if I could put the Z-Wreck chassis (from the 1x12 combo) in my other head box (ie. MAZ 18 NR). Then, I could mount the MAZ 18 NR in the Z-Wreck combo.
One interesting (and deflating) thing that I've noticed....on Dr. Z's website the controls for the Z-Wreck are typical of the head (ie. you'd adjust from behind the amp), which is what I wanted. It makes more sense to look at the pictures. When I just looked on Humbuckers website, the Z-Wreck combo's have different faceplates (to adjust from in front of the amp). Somewhere things switched. Wish they were how they are on Z's website (not Humbuckers). Even if they were the same size, I couldn't mount the Z-Wreck in the MAZ's head box without the controls being upside down.

Yeah, I don't have a 'Wreck, but I've been mildly interested and I seem to remember the larger chassis/head size. Perhaps somebody who actually has one might chime in here... Also, I seem to remember that when Doc introduced the blue 1×12 'Wreck combo he published the pictures & stuff but said that the "correct" (lettering read from the front of the amp) faceplates were still being delivered. Thus, his website's pictures have it the way you want it... but all the production models show up like on Humbucker's site.

The maz and wreck are different chassis sizes. With the wreck being slightly bigger.

I recall in the announcement of the Z-Wreck the statement that the chassis was a new design - did not use the generic chassis that is used for all the other amps. I don't have the Z-Wreck combo on my chart because I don't really have much info on it besides what's on the Z site, but the chassis is definitely not the same as the rest of the lineup.
