Hi guys, I recorded a few quick clips of the RXES last night at a friends house. Tell me what you think. The clean funk clips were done straight in to the amp. The voodoo clip was done with a Xotic BB preamp and a teese wah in to the RXES. It was done really quick so the sound might not be the greatest. The guitar is my 69 custom shop strat. The RXES was also going through the Z-Best 2x12 cabinet. The recordings have some dead space at the end. Sorry! It was done kind of fast. www.soundclick.com/bands/pagemusic.cfm?bandID=490637

Great playing arun. That strat sounds fantastic. Does it have lollars as well, or just your tele?
there's no compressor on the funk clips? That's pretty impressive too, I must say.
The recording is excellent.

Thanks for the kind words gents. Karma comin' at ya. Those are lollars in the strat going straight in too the RXES for the funk clips. The amp has such a great percussiveness to it. I love it.

Dang! *Really* nice stuff, Arun. I especially liked "Clean funk 2". What speakers were in that Z-Best? What was the amp's settings on that clip to get that SRV breakup? I didn't know an RxES could do that.
Thanks,
PDW

Thanks Johnnyl and PDW. The Z-best had the stock vintage30/G12 combination. The settings on the amp were Bass-1 o'clock Mid-12 o'clock Treble-between 10-11 o'clock Volume was at 11 o'clock. Overdose is off. Guitar in to high input. It pretty much is a setting where it gets a little hair when you really dig in, and when you back off on your picking it cleans right up. Great for heavy funk stuff. Though the amp at that setting was seriously loud it felt great.

Hey aruntang.....very sweet tone & chops!!!!
I ordered a RXES yesterday and have been hoping I made the right decision. After hearing your clips, I think I did OK. The Lollars sound great too. I just put a set of Blondes in my Start-O-Parts two days ago and really love them so far. Yours are the Blackface model, correct?
I like them better than the Fralin Blues they replaced.

Wow, thanks for the kind words guys. I need to put up some more clips, the stingray is long over due. Guitarman you are right those are Lollar Blackface pickups in there, and I love the 69 CS strat.

Thanks Str8arrow. I have always run the wah first in my chain then followed by the MJM BLues Devil then the BB preamp. For the clip it was just the wah into the BB.
