Put in a new quartet of tubes this morning and the JAZ is back to her toneful self again. I wish I had her last night bc the room we played was really bright (concrete floor, super high ceilings and even w the amp I took running at a volume of 3/10 there was too much treble. Maybe next show.

Good to hear the JAZ is back in action. No resistor issue after all?

Every time I re-tube an amp, I always think, "Why didn't I do this a LONG time ago!" Good for you Chris!

Thanks guys. -Mike-she was all good inside just had a tube fail and it cut the volume in half (even less than the 20W setting!) The TAD 6V6s also are less harsh all around. To my ears they are smoother with the break up and less aggressive in response through the 10s which is great IMO. I'll try to record something in the next few days so you can hear. I knew it was all good when the Mrs. told me she couldn't hear the TV in the living room and I only had the master on 9 oclock in the 40w setting. That gave me a warm fuzzy.
