There is a stangray I found for sale. It's an older 2x12 w the tube chart showing stingray so it's an early one. But it has a fan in the cab. I've never seen this but I'm not really into combos. Was this stock?

Doc has used fans in some of his combos - I have a Bluesman, a Super Z, SRZ 65 RC, and the JAZ 20/40 all with factory fans. Could very well have been factory. That combo has seen several owners that I'm aware of - I've seen it for sale for as little as $1,100 if I remember correctly.

My old stangray 1x12 combo had a fan. The Doc's reasoning (so I had heard) is that with the combos, there's no ventilation, so he installed a fan. Turn the chassis over to make a head, and the heat can escape...no need for a fan. This is for the 4xEL84 amps. The 2X EL84 don't generate enough heat.

My first Stangray was a 2x12 combo and it had a fan.
