Update to link: Since posting I've added and switched things around some. All clips are using either Teles or a Tom Anderson hollow T. RxES/ Zendrive used on "Lyles Blues" and two others indicated...other stuff is the onboard sim amps. Hipshot clip is TA. www.soundclick.com/bands/pagemusic.cfm?bandID=346841

Thanks bukowski, both clips are into a Tonker. I'll post another Zendrive clip later using a Weber alnico blue dog 50W.

Nice clips Madison...the rxes sounds so sweet. The B-bender madness is dead on, you nailed that one. I have a tele at Charlie McVay's getting a B bender installed, can't wait. The hipshot sounds great.

Thanks huckleberry, I was trying to replicate Keith Gattis' style on the bender...but that is near impossible :-). I've given serious thought of sending my Tele to Charlie McVay...it's the $600 that scares me away, BUT the McVay would be an upgrade to the Hipshot. Because of the lack of string angle on the HS, you can occasionally get the dreaded "sitar" effect. Not so with the McVay...just a well thought out and constructed bending device, with little added weight and few mods to your guitar.
It'd be nice to just save up and get the whole package, Crook Tele with the bender already in place!

Great playing and tone! I love that dwight track. What are the eq settings? I'm interested because your b-bender clip is quite trebly, in contrast to the clips on the main site of brad playing through them where the sound is quite dark and bassy. Zendrive sounds good, too.

Thanks for listening nickg! Actually for the bender and tele clips I used a COSM modeling amp onboard the BR-1200. Only used the RxES on the two clips titled accordingly, and at only about 2 on the amp volume, going into a single Tonker.
The past few days I've been recording (not posted) the RxES into an open back blue/silver alnico cab with an SM57 and interestingly enough what sounds fairly bright in the room to my ears, translates to fairly dark once on tape...much as Brad's tone on the Z site.

I've added yet another clip, this time the RxES into the Z open back 2x12 loaded with Weber Blue/Silver 50w Alnicos. Rythym is straight in, the solo is running thru the Zendrive. It's a spin on a Lyle Lovett tune my band does. After a lot of experimenting with mic placement, this clip is pretty much what the "live" setting sounds like. Oh and the overdose switch is off. By kicking it it the ES can really get AGGRESSIVE. ;D www.soundclick.com/bands/pagemusic.cfm?bandID=346841

A whole schwack of neat stuff there in those clips Madison. I think I might scoff a few of those licks. I like the bender stuff especially. Cheers, Shawn

Thanks Shawn... I'd scoff a few licks from your clips but my fingers indicate I'm not good enough! :-)
