So we have had lots of work done around the house (some done by us) New AC and Furnace. Floor and cieling work, painting, kitchen remodel. Then my wife (who says she does not get being a musician ) surprised me and ordered this for me. I love the Pelham Blue aged finish. All upgraded hardware and Florance Voodoo 59 pickups. Hope for it to be here next week. For a lady who "does not get it" she still supports me 100%. She is quite a blessing to me and our family. Just thought I would share. Quite excited.

When you find one who does that, keep her and remember to pay her back.

Very cool Paul. I guess the move to Austin made a real impact on her! So, no Therapy needed?

SG love! Happy marriage love! Fantastic! Is this your first SG? Did she know you were looking at this one? Or just a total surprise? I had it on a watch list of gear....with other stuff and she decided on getting it. Very good decision...from my point of view.

Very cool indeed!! Although my wife has never surprised me like that she is very supportive of my gear addiction (she too doesn't quite understand it though). She has OK'ed many purchases over the years and even transferred me funds a few times (she works at our bank) while on the road when I spotted something I couldn't pass up. She truly is my best friend!!

This will be my first SG. Never been big into them before. But, there was something about this one that drew me in. Can't wait to play it.

Cool guitar; cooler wife! Yep, Paul, she's a special one for sure (the guitar, too).... I dig the SG's...it IS tho a bit of a learning curve to get used to the nut and headstock being way over in the next county to yer left....

Okay. No Therapy. But I did wind up with a very very nice Fender Custom Shop 57 Narrow Panel Tweed Twin. Traded my 59 AVRI Strat for it.
Hoping the SG shows up this week as scheduled.
