Nice one ! It will be more responsive when you get the volume turned up louder....try both pre and post at noon for starters . IMO. Yea....I know it's a loud setting. A friend of mine who has one cranks his pre all the way, and post to taste.

I have both an EZG and a Z-28 and play them through the same two cabs all the time. I think the Z-28 is a more touch responsive amp as well. It may have to do with the EF86\6V6 combination vs the 12ax7\6L6 or the less complex circuit in the Z-28. On the other side, the EZG can go places the Z-28 can't. They are quite different animals and I like them both. Love the surf green on yours. Congratulations.

The Z28 is a sexy little hotrod; the EZG is a Caddy convertible with steer horns mounted on the front. Both great amps in their own way.

I think of them as Thunder and Lightning tone-wise. You can figure out which is which. The perfect Z storm.
