OK, this is a non-Z sound sample but I thought some people on the forum might find it interesting. My dad (DJ) played in one of the original rock and roll bands in the mid-west circa mid to late 50's and I just found some mp3's of some old recordings. The name of the band is DJ and the Cats (any of you oldies remember the name?) This would be recorded with mid/late 50's strats and Fender Bassmans from the first year of production with serial #'s under 100. Recording was done in Chicago but the band originated in South Dakota. The two songs are: The Lightning Strikes Jeanie 16 click on the little sound speaker. rcs.law.emory.edu/rcs/artists/d/d---7000.htmThe question begs, do I have his old gear, but thats another story...
