Your tunes are making me feel guilty that I haven't done more in this style. I've been concentrating on 1940s R & B and jazz standards for the last 10 years or so and listening to your stuff makes me realize that I have a place in my heart for this kind of stuff too. Thanks for the good music and making me pay attention to a little voice in me that says get busy! Now if I only had the time........

Hey Billyguitar, 40's R+B / Jazz standards is cool too! One of my favorite guitarists is John Pizzarelli. I’ve seen John at least three times… He’s one of my favorite artists to see along with John Scofield. B.T.W. my CD, Time to Heal (2003), on CD Baby, now has all proceeds going to the American Red Cross for Hurricane Katrina Victims. It's a good disk going towards a good cause. Check it out if you all get a chance. www.cdbaby.com/girolamoUnfortunately for us Z gear heads, the CD was not recorded with the Z (because I didn't own one at the time). However, it was recorded with my Marshall (Pre-mod's), a Fender Concert (designed by Rivera) and a Line6 Flextone and lots of Martin acoustic guitar. So, if anyone is up for something a little different, this is going for a good cause. pg

hey, went to your site. really like your songs. you have a bluesy country type voice that fits your songs very well. especially appreciated the simple tasty lines with the slide on the first tune. so well placed, as someone who overplays, i really like your control on that. would you answer a question for me? i am a 50 yr old guy , have some older guitars, but there is no one around my area who i trust to do guitar work like: fret leveling, and set ups. i am not good at it. i get to dallas about every 3 months or so. can you recommend some one who would do a good job at a reasonable price? oh, i also have a z 38 combo and a z-28 combo, but i use an allen brown sugar combo for tv tapings on cable tv up here in kansas. it is small time, but i can play what i want. i also hear some church background in your playing. i will go back to your site and hear your cd again. thanks for putting it out there, james in kansas

hey paul, i really got a kick out of number 5, kind of a zeppelin riff in C. an instrumental. that one kinda stood out, you have a pop style. neil young thing goin on, some of your stuff sounds like your using a tele, maybe that is the studio compressor thing going on. well, as usual i have said too much and not enough.

Hey Bluz! Love the disk!!! I love Voodoo and 2 Steps from a 12 Step. Lyrics are very clever and humorous! Great hooks, great melodies and very catchy tunes!
I'm going to write a more detailed review and post it on CD Baby, as I listen to more of it. You certainly have found your groove for tone and style. I recommend everyone pick up a copy... It's awesome... I'm going to refer your disk to a good friend of mine who also is a clever song writer, Mark Maysey in CA. He's on CD Baby as well.
I like your voice too... I can't put a finger on who you sound like though... but you sound like someone ;-) a little Johny Cash'ish maybe?
Thanks Cementman for the kinds words regarding my disk. Glad you enjoyed it... You certainly nailed the influences and guitar tone down to a "T".
