Whoa that's nice Steve - one of the last of the slab-body Specials , noting the "keystone" inlay in the headstock. Very cool , congrats!

I hated to let her go, but could not have imagined a better guy to pass it along to! Steve was an awesome host to boot. Thanks, bud.

And in TV yellow! Great guitar, Steve! Big Neck or ST 60's neck? The neck on this beauty is a whole lot thinner than mine that's for sure. It's got the 60's neck Lee which I really like; but I turned 59 last month and these old hands are startin' to like 'em a little less lean (kinda like my women I guess)... Best Brother

Great score Steve!! I bet that thing just rocks!! Enjoy!~ It do indeed Mark. I'm not sure it barks like a Jr. though. I wish I had one to compare. I am however more than pleased with the 'tude of this rascal! First tune I tried out.....Mississippi Queen (of course); and it was Oootay.

The wife and I are planning to crack it next weekend with some friends that actually know a bit about wine. One of them was eye-balling the bottle last night and seemed pretty intrigued. Looking forward to it!

My wallet recently got a whole lot thinner after scoring this baby. Here she is in some pretty good company. Thanks Matt (waynelawkid), I love this guitar. Is/was this a special model? I don't think I've ever seen a Jr with a keystone inlay.

I don't think I've ever seen a Jr with a keystone inlay. It's actually a rare "transition" model between when Gibson lost the rights to the use of Les Paul's name, but before they ran out of double cut les paul bodies and switched completed to the SG horned body. The result, this one has a very rare variation: the "Keystone" mother of pearl inlay in the headstock (ala the ES series). Apparently there are only few of these floating around. Pretty cool...
