Just new to this forum. Great Place.
Someone over on the Gear Page suggested that I post a link to some of my Dr.Z soundclips over here. All of the following soundclips were recorded using a Dr. Z MAZ-18 Jr NR 2X10 Combo with 2003 Highway 1 Telecaster (bone stock). The amp was mic'd with a Sure SM57 30 deg off axis about 2.5" from the cone.
Video Clips This was really done to see I could record video using iMovie - and did something constructive with it. (Turns out I was pretty inept at iMovie)
This is an mp4 file, so MAC users will have to right click and download it to disk and then play it. PC users should have no problem.
Cheers,
Shawn

Thanks guys.
Ya know, I am a bit surprised... I went back and listened to the clip, and was astonished at just how much of the Z tone came through, even with less-than-optimal mic'ing with the camera setup. That spank still managed to get through.
BTW, the lineup for the recording was my usual setup:
Guitar --> Boss CS-3 --> Danelectro Dan-Echo --> Amp (High Gain Input).

I've gotta know.......what gauge strings are you using on your Highway 1? and how long did it take you to learn Nervous Breakdown? I'm workin' on it now just getting the basics.

TeleKing: I am using .009-.042's. As for learning the Nervous Breakdown, I really never learned it. I've only picked up the "theme" on the intro, and then improvised my own stuff, based loosely on what Brad did on the recording.
DrZ: Hey thanks! Feel free to use 'em if you want to.
Cheers,
Shawn

Your Welcome, Dig down a bit here in the soun ds for some Clips from "Nick", He's a 15 year old chickin' pickin' bad azz and his clips are a Ghia 2x10 so you can again see the Z 10's smoke.
I have a Jr NR 1x12 combo and it screams, lots like the 'verb version but I'm content with the extra drive of the NR ;^) Let us know when you get your Z !

Nice! I missed this the first time around because I wasn't even here then. Missed it the second time around, and the third, but I finally caught on. Great clips all around - dang, I want a Maz now! Every Z amp I hear I want!

Nice pickin Shawn. I love hearing guys and gals with great chops affirming my first Z amp choice, the great Maz Jr. 2 x 10, eh? They sure bring out the spank 'n funk.

I've been on a new amp hunt, and these clips put the Maz jr into the number 1 spot on my list. Can't actively get one till next month after vacation, but I think the Maz jr. 2x10 is gonna be the amp for me. Awesome clips!
