Hi all, I'm new here. I purchased an m12 about 6 weeks ago and wanted to give some time to get acquainted with it before coming here and posting my thoughts.
The m12 will easily be part of my live rig for the foreseeable future. I have used it at stadium shows, outside festivals, private events, and everything in between with a top 4 contestant from this past season of NBCs The Voice. It flat out rocks. I run it in an ABY set up with a two rock Bi-onyx. I just picked up a 2x12 zbest cab loaded with creambacks and I'm extremely impressed with how flexible the amp is and how well it takes pedals (just as advertised). Thanks to the good doctor z for making such a wonderful amp.

Welcome in bro ! Good idea on letting is sit a while with you and test it out before giving a run down on it. Makes it all the more interesting and informative for me. Hard to imagine 12 watts in a stadium, but I guess that's why they invented P.A. Systems huh? So are you using it only with pedals and the Two-Rock for overdrive or ...?

I originally purchased the M12 with the intention of using it as a portable practice rig because all of my other amps are kind of a pain to haul around. The M12 with one of my smaller 1x12 cabs sounded very appealing. For reference my other amps that I regularly use are the previously mentioned Two Rock Bi-Onyx, a Bogner Goldfinger 45, a Bogner Duende, and a Mesa Electradyne. From the first rehearsal I used the M12 at I realized the amp is so much more than a simple rehearsal amp. I'm a heavy pedal user and the only amp that comes close to taking pedals as beautifully as the M12 is the Two Rock. I have thrown a number of overdrives and fuzz boxes in front of the M12 and I've yet to find a single one that doesn't pair up well with it. I almost have an affliction to low wattage amps because they usually sound small and weak to my ears. This is definitely not the case with the M12. A simple clean boost like a Zvex SHO or a JHS Prestige can fatten up the clean tone or make the M12 sing depending on the level of boost. I don't use the M12 or the Bi-Onyx specifically for drive or clean. They both can do drive and clean very well. It's more song dependent I suppose. Some songs I prefer the M12, some songs I prefer the Bi-onyx. Some songs I let them both rip. Here is a picture of the two amps together and a shot of my main gigging pedal board

Beautiful rig, you will fit right in with the other gear-a-holics around here (like me)! Welcome!
Just out of curiosity, what guitars are you playing and do you find that you prefer some over others with the M12?

Just out of curiosity, what guitars are you playing and do you find that you prefer some over others with the M12? Thanks for the kind words! I primarily gig with Telecasters and Strats in various configurations. Single coils almost always work better for my personal tastes all around. With the M12 I find that I like my Telecaster type guitars the best.

^^^^go try it with something with P90's. My grosh electrajet sounds stunning through the M12. I also have port city wave cab with a creamback and it pairs really well as you know.
lots of us here have landed on the Celestion Gold as the best all around speaker for the M12 and many of docs other creations. It has all the lush mids and sparkly top end of the C blue, but it also has more bottom end. Very nice option, especially when you may need a little more stage volume - its a 100db speaker and i believe the creamback is about 40% less output as a 97 db speaker.
again, welcome!
