After struggling to get the perfect Rock sound out of my Maz18 for the past 6 months , I'm loving my Therapy. I've got a pair of stacked 2-12 cabs with my Maz18 and the Therapy heads on top. I'm running my Therapy amp DRY , with the exception an echoplex pedal in front , tapping off my speaker cable with a lead to my effects , then into the front of the maz , thus creating a wet/dry setup , and it sounds amazing. I pulled out my mxr analog delay , and a few other pedals I had kicking around , and put my line6 floorboard on the sidelines for a while. Wakeup call. Best sound I've had yet.
- having 2 heads for shows gives me a backup in case one goes down , the sound is phenomenal. They are both great amps on their own , but as long as I'm playing rock , the maz18 can play the supporting role for my Therapy. - just wanted to share my recent success with a new setup.

Please excuse my ignorance...so you tapped off the speaker cable? so you went from say 8 Ohm from the amp to 8 ohm speaker but you tapped in the middle....so same cable from the speaker to your effects? or is it more like
Therapy 8 Ohm out -> speaker cable to input of pedeal chain-> out to guitar input of maz 8-> out of maz 18 8 Ohm -> speaker cab?

I'd like to know a little more about what you've done here also. Sounds dangerous.

Must have a line out box in the speaker cable. Yes. David Bray made me a box about 5 years ago that goes in between your head and speaker cabinet , and gives you a line out. You can probably buy them anywhere. I think he may have them on his site too. Bray amps. He's got tips on using a wet/dry setup. My rig sounds so good right now , I can't wait to play tonight. ... the MXR analog delay is like magic. You guys have to try one if you haven't. I started using a pod hd500 for a while for simplicity , and threw my pedals like the MXR to the curb for a while. Ive had times where i was pretty happy with what i got from driving the maz18. BUT , satisfaction is all relative to what you've experienced. So , I pulled my pedals back out to try with the new Therapy and WOW. Makes me feel like a meathead for not using them all along.

This is what Carl Verheyen does for his setup. I'm not sure what device he uses, but he does a wet/dry amp setup that sounds killer.

Dave Baker's live rig also uses this arrangement.
