I am looking for a 12" speaker to use with my Ghia or Monza, and some folks had recommended the G12H-30 and I pulled the trigger on one but the seller didn't know how to ship it so he refunded me the money and now with more time come more thoughts.
I am loving my Red Fang 10"
I love my 2x10 10516 ceramic Legends
I am thinking maybe another alnico 12 and wondered about the WGS Blackhawk or the Eminence Canis Major ( I heard both of these are gold copies). So anyone use either of these ?
Thanks

I don't have experience with the emi but I've been using the blackhawk 50 with my ghia. I haven't tried the gold with ghia so I'm out on that one too lol. But it is less efficient than the gold or emi so that's one reason I went with it. To my ears it's definitely in the celestion blue ballpark but has a tighter lowend.

I've read so much good stuff about WGS I'd like to try one of their 12"ers. Lower decibels might be nice as well, as the Red Fang can handle any stage

The Eminence Canis Major is going to be much closer to the Tone Tubby Alnico than the G12 Gold--it's essentially an AlNiCo version of their popular Cannabis Rex hemp-cone speaker. IMO, I wouldn't really think of pairing those with either the Ghia or Monza.
If you like the Red Fang 10, why not try the original 12" Eminence Red Fang?

I've thought about it, but I guess I'm just flavor shopping. Instead of trying to have things be the same, more like looking for a neighborhood of tone . I have found a few good prices on G12H-30's but my alnico experience with the Red Fang, which is my first alnico speaker, has been getting better and better. I played with a Cannabis Rex at my dad's today and it sounded pretty good, but I don't get to crank it up around the old man
