I've been using the Creamback M 65 with my Z28 and loved it. Just got my Therapy and it sounds great with it also. I ordered the G12H -75 to see if things could possibly get any better. Just wondering if anyone else has tried the Creamback H 75?

I would think if you like the M....you will not like the H.
It has a big 50 oz. magnet. It will have big firm bass (the H has too much for me), crispy highs...but recessed mids. And those recessed mids are what make me dislike the H speaker. (Disclosure: I've never played the creamback H...but many regular H) The guitar is a midrange instrument, and the H's lack of mids doesn't seem to be a good match to my ears. Nice in the studio or by yourself, but when playing with a band...it falls short for me.

I have a Peavey Penta 412 'ported' cab that I've been aiming to replace the speakers in for years. I'm actually thinking about going out today to order four (4) H Creambacks for it today.
I've never heard them but no matter what speaker I want I'll never hear them locally anyway. I was tempted to get WGS Invaders first, but I may just try the H Creambacks based on the video alone (I know a video demo is limiting...but these sound great)....

I have been alternating between a V30 and an H75 Creamback in 1-12 Avatar vintage open back cab on gigs at the same venue (450+ seat music theater)(with Maz 38 senior head). The V30 sounds fine once broken in but originally I wasn't crazy about the H75 paired with the Maz (bright amp + bright speaker). What I didn't realize was it takes some time for this 75w speaker to break in with a 38w amp. I'm really liking this speaker now although I don't think it's completely broke in. The highs are there but have mellowed some,I'm boosting mids at the amp, lows are strong like all the H's. I know the H75 isn't getting much love around here but if you try them make sure you break them in as you would with a V30 and keep in mind the H is more efficient(louder- 100db vs 97db) than the M. On video Tele sound @ 2:49 is a good example of clean amp,H75,w/tele. Disclaimer: I have old worn out ears.

Thanks for the input. I just came from my dealer and I ordered 2 65s and 2 75s for my 412. I figured I'd mix them up for a hoot. The cab is not getting any use as it is now with G12T-75s in there...so, I figured I'd take the chance. Keith

Thanks for the info about the H -75. That does worry me about the high end now that you mention it. I do like the sound of the M 65. I was just considering the fact that since the Therapy has the mid control that I could add the mid that I need plus add the amount of breakup that I need with the volume knob, since it does have the master. I may not even take the H 75 out of the box and just put it on the Buy & Sell with a good discount for someone.

I have an H75 and like it a lot. I find it does need lots of break in as previously mentioned; however, it sounds balanced to me. Just about my perfect speaker.
It does baffle me that people who haven't even tried one don't seem to like it. I find it to be a higher wattage and less spikey G12H30 (great start).
Try one....you never know....

Thanks for the input Fevzay. I actually got the Creamback H 75 yesterday. Haven't took it out of the shipping box yet. I'm going to give my CB M 65 another test live tomorrow and make a decision before I take the H out of the box. So far I've been loving the M.

Keith, Please let us know how it works out when you can. Randy Played my Therapy today with the Creamback 65 M. Sounded good, but I just couldn't let the day pass without trying out the G12 H 75. It sounded good to me right out of the box. I didn't notice a great difference between it and the M. Actually thought it sounded better. My first impression was that it had some of the same characteristics of the M. Maybe a little tighter on the low end that everybody talks about. Not a bad speaker. A true test will be after I give my ears a break. I had been playing the M pretty loud and it's hard to tell when you're doing something like comparing speakers. Your ears really need to rest. I'll give it another try maybe tomorrow.

Glad you tried the H75. Any other thoughts on it? Hope you can break it in soon! Still liking the H 75 Creamback. I like both M65 also. I thought about selling it, but might try them both together in a 212 cab.

I have very good results with an H75 in my Vox AC15HW 1x12 combo, and I like it better than the Gold because it takes pedals much better. For my Antidote I prefer the M65. I just got an M12 but have not had a chance to check it out yet with different speakers.
