I've got the v4 w/high gain on the red side. Love it.

I have a V2 and a V4... the V4 stacks well with itself. Play with the internal dip switches as that makes a difference in versatility.

I've got the v4 w/high gain on the red side. Love it. +1. Although, I do find if I have one side in 'distortion' mode via dipswitches, that it's a little thin sounding with too much compression. I usually play it setup as stock into a slightly dirty Remedy. One side is clean boost (great!), the other side is OD.

They are like $240 if you get on the list. Wouldn't hurt to sign up and just forget about it. When your number is up, you have the option not to buy. I think the list is just under a year long. Totally worth it.

I've had two, but flipped them both.
Personally, I found them to be best with an amp that's just a little gritty; they excel as both a boost & drive (& both at the same time). Into a squeaky clean amp (that's my scenario), not so much. If you want that, I'd look at a Wampler SLOstortion or Dual Fusion. Or an Xotic BB Plus.
Worst case scenario, you can flip it for more than you paid for it. Still.

I almost always have my amps set so 10 on the guitar volume is a little crunchy, but if you roll the GV back to 8 or so, it cleans up.

I regret selling my KoT, I really miss that pedal. Unemployment will do that to you. Back on the list so will hopefully have new one a few months down the road. I never settled on how I was using it (mostly due to my own ingnorance)

I use the v4 normal with the KTR on my board. Usually one or the other, sometimes both, sometimes neither,, but I'll keep em both. The nice thing about the KOT is it's not bothered by the hype of the KTR. Lol

I have a V4, high gain on both sides. I prefer the stock mode - OD on Red, Boost on Yellow. I like it with my Maz Jr but haven't really played it with other amps as extensively. It does the low/medium gain OD thing really good IMO, and excels at pushing the amp harder.
