Ok...have you ever soldered new components in and feel that the sound has changed...capacitance change?
Im wondering do you subscribe to fresh wire or do you just use stuff over and over (like me).

Speaking as a greasy mechanic, not a luthier or engineer, I would tend to think any change in sound would be from the new components, not reusing the old wire. But, hey, I could be wrong

A cold solder joint could sound funny.

It all depends. I tend to replace short pieces. On the longer ones I will clip off the old soldered end and then work with the remaining unused wire if I have enough length left. Sometimes I will just de-solder the end of a wire and re-use it if I don't have to bend it. That's because it can make the old wire brittle. The variance in the ACTUAL value of the new cap or resistor is probably responsible for any change you hear.
