My previous rig was a 25th Ghia going through a 1x12 w/Gold and a 2x10 with DrZ speakers. I just got a 2013 Remedy (MV & EQ) and I did not like how it sounded with the gold, OR with the 2x10s. I replaced the Gold with a Creamback and it's awesome!
So, I have 1 1x12 with Creamback that I love. I'm trying to decide on the following:
1. Get another 1x12 with Creamback and use both 1x12s. 2. Get a ZBest and load with 2 creambacks 3. Replace the DrZ 10s with other speakers, but I'm not sure which ones. 4. Play both amps, Remedy w/1x12 and Ghia w/2x10s. (I've tried, and haven't been about to find settings that blend well yet)
Right now I'm leaning towards #1. What is the difference between playing 2 1x12s vs a ZBest? Or, is there?

I would not be the biggest fan of a Remedy with a gold either.
Is the cabinet you currently have open back, closed or convertible?
I used to have several 1x12 cabinets. The idea being I could mix/match speakers and amount of cabinets depending on the gig. But it turns out I just ended up using the same 1x12...which is now creamback loaded.
The Z-best is really a different beast. I have a Z-best loaded with Heritage Greenbacks. VERY different than my open back 1x12 w creamback. I don't use it often. The Z-best can be very bass heavy so the little extra bass you get from a creamback isn't needed. Regular reissue greenbacks (which are much cheaper) would be best I think.
If you went with #1, you could use one cabinet for a small gig, and both cabinets for a bigger gig.
Personally, I'd just keep the 1x12 and blast as loud as I could with the Remedy.

Both of my cabs are DrZ convertibles. Adding another 1x12 does give me more options. My band can get pretty loud, even while we try to tame the volume.
