Took delivery of a new (to me) Remedy today. 2013 MV & EQ bypass. I'm noticing a high end fizz/sizzle when really pushing the amp. I replaced the tubes with new ones, same thing. Here's a few clips I recorded with my iPhone to try and capture what I'm hearing. Any ideas or is this normal? I read this in another thread, so I suspect it could normal. In both clips, the amp settings are as follows: Power: Full V1 - 1:00 V2 - 9:00 Bass, Treble, Mid - 12:00 MV - 9:00 EQ OFF No pedals, straight into amp 1. Gibson 339, Lindy Fralin buckers, 2x10 dr.z cab with midde panel removed. dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/3034565/Remedy2x10.m4a2. Gibson 339, 57/09 pickups, 1x12 (Celestion Gold) dr.z cab closed dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/3034565/Remedy1x12Gold.m4a

I noticed mine got some fizz happening when MV was less than say 10:00. Have you tried half power and the MV at 12:00? That cured it for me.
Sent using some app on whatever device this is

Sent using some app on whatever device this is Yep, I agree. I always run the master above noon. The master is non linear and there is a whole lot in the amp between about 1 and 4 o'clock. I also never bonded with the Gold and the Remedy. My favorite speaker with other amps but not the Remedy. It is such an efficient speaker that it may be accentuating the sizzle. Other guys love it so YMMV.

I might have to break out the brake lite if I'm going to 12 on the MV. I also have a creamback on the way, so we'll see. I really don't like how it sounds with the 2x10s. <sigh> I somehow understood the MV was very usable.

Turn the mid and treb down. Why are they at noon? Don't make the dials look nice, make the amp sound nice!

I'm not trying to use the amp at really low volumes though. Are you cranking the other volumes? As bluzman said I have my tone controls below noon most of the time.

When I ran that very specific amp you have I did as mentioned above and I played with Gold, Z best cab with stock speakers and Doc 2x10. I ran the controls no higher than noon and 95% of the time bellow noon. The other 5% was really more of the mid tone a bit higher than the Treble. Bass was around 9 O'clock

Thanks for the help. I changed my settings based on your input and it's better. Here's what I have at the moment:
Power Full eq off Vol1 - 1:00/1:30 Vol2 - 9:00 Bass - 10:00 Mid - 11:00 Treble - 9:30

Exactly why I sold mine. Great amp--just not for me.

Hmm, "really pushing the amp"?
I noticed this when hitting the front end hard with highish output pups.
Crazy, but try maxing the Hi V, turning off the N V, and rolling you GV WAY back....... Also get that MV up to at least 11 o'clock.
Or looked at another way, CLOSE your eyes, and start twisting the knobs until you hear what you want to hear, the look at your settings. You might be amazed at where they end up! But there is a top end edge to the Remedy for sure, no matter where you set the dials. I could live with it, others couldn't. (I traded my Remedy for a. Therapy for different reasons than this, btw, which were financial not sonic)

I put the creamback in and got my setting managed a little better. This is helping with the fizz and the amp is A ROCKIN!

I have an older Remedy(no MV), and even with volumes at max, I've never heard that fuzz/sizzle as in your clips.
