This Wreck is still just about the greatest amp ever! No pedals, old Tele straight in working volume/tone on guitar, amp volume on 2:30-3:00 and Air Brake 2 clicks back (for gigs, 3 clicks back for home/rehearsal), bass at 10:00, treble at 2:00, cut 10:00 - 2:00. Everything I ever need. Gotta go into crazy OD? - turn volume to 3:30-4:00. Amp does it all with the sweetest overdrive and glassy highs and beautiful never fatiguing mids. Who could ask for anything more (except maybe a Stang Ray and Remedy just for some slight variation/variety)? Trouble free. Gigs, recording, homes, rehearsal. Best money I ever spent, save that spent on the old Tele.

I'll +1000 on that thought! It is definitely worth every penny. I'm going to try your settings out. Love it that there really isn't a setting I haven't liked on it, also--just super musical.

Yes! I shook the rafters with mine earlier today. There's some serious magic in that amp!

It's definitely an amp that will stand the test of time. Says a lot about Dr Z and Ken Fisher

You guys are killing me. Saving up for the combo right now. Hey. It was killing me too...until I finally pulled the trigger on a combo about a week and a half ago. It was a long waiting/lusting period, but it's proving to be well worth it.

I'd hate to let my RXjr combo go, but I think that'll get me there.

My Z Wreck Combo arrived in NZ at long last, pretty sure it's the first one here. Got my first chance to play it over the weekend and all I can say is wow, talk about responsive!!! I can't wait to get this going live, it's gonna force a complete rethink on my pedal board.

I feel like I know the jr pretty good and I don't want to let it go, but after reading about and listening to the wreck I believe it's closer to the sound I want. I feel like the Z-wreck is the freakin' tone I've been chasing, and I just need to break down and get rid of all but my comp, a boost, one delay, and a reverb pedal. I think that would force me to think outside of my comfort zone and get back to basics. My playing has been convoluted with a pedal of some sort on all the time. Feeling a back to basics urge happening.

The 'Wreck rules! Rules! I know some have said this is an AC30 voiced amp, but it's just it's own beast. I feel this amp helps you find YOUR voice--just pure tone. It definitely has ruined my pedalboard. I do like a Timmy as a volume boost and gain set low. Reverb and delay are now collecting dust. The amp just blooms on it's own. I am blown away each time I plug in. It's funny--I can't really find a setting to get my delays and verbs to sound right with this amp--almost as if it's "rejecting" things that will bind up the signal chain...anyways, one of the best amps ever.
