My main gigging amp at the moment is an RX Jr but the wreck has been on my radar for sometime now. I will most likely have to let the RX go to get the wreck and that's what has me stalled so to speak. The only issue I really have with the RX is the lack of mids/low-mids, which I have been able bring in a little bit trying different speakers.
Volume wise, the jr has plenty of headroom for 99% of the places we play. We mic every gig for monitoring reasons and to help keep stage levels down. My OD comes from pedals but I do use my guitar knobs sometimes even with pedals to get different amounts of drive and tonal textures.
I guess my question is would the Zwreck be overkill? I have an airbrake but I really prefer no attenuation (the Rx jr MV works really good!) For those of you that got a wreck in place of an Rx - do you miss the Rx characteristics at all?
At the moment, I'm down to choosing between the Zwreck and the Therapy. Eventually I will have both I'm sure.

The wreck has more low mids but the lack of low mids is what I like about my rxes. The wreck can replace the rx but having both is fine.

I've had both. First wreck I had was a head with 1x12 cab and gold. It was too loud for most venues we play and especially the casinos where volume is an issue. Now I have an m12 and zwreck combo. Believe it or not, the zwreck combo seems a lot quieter to me than the head/cab configuration. I feel the same way as you do about attenuation, I'm not a big fan. Sure hope the doc makes a therapy combo!!

I just sold my RxJR and I regret it. That mv is awesome and I miss it. I miss the crunch from the RxJR.

I have a RXES on the way and can't wait to compare them.

I went through a phase of moving some gear to try some other Z's but the M12 has always been in the back of mind. The next one will probably be the full size 1x12 combo version. I have had the 1x10 and the head versions. I guess that's one thing that has held me back from getting the Zwreck - the low volume gigs where even my 18 watt Z's don't get pushed that much. I have read where some folks are having success with the BadCat Unleash, so that has opened up the doorway again so to speak. I have been eyeballing that wreck combo at Tulsa Band (nearest dealer) for awhile now...

Yeah an M12 on the low setting with a tele and wampler paisley drive is pure magic. It's my go to amp. It's the 1x12 version but I changed out the greenback for a Celestion gold

I've had an: RX (non ES), RxES and RxJr and now a Z-Wreck.
The RxES/RxJr, while still having some AC30 vibe, is scooped in the mids compared to your standard AC30 type amp. The Z-Wreck is more "traditional" AC30 voiced with a stronger mid range. Both amps can be very bright and both amps cab be very dark. > The RxJr is more percussive and less forgiving than the Wreck > The Wreck has more "bloom" and sustain than the RxJr, more open sounding/less compressed > The Wreck is going to be much louder with more head room than the RxJr, but not near as much as the RxES (or Stangray) > Both amps get dirty pretty quick, but the RxJr is a little "fizzier" due to the EF86 (my guess), whereas the Wreck is a cleaner dirty (if that makes sense)? > No master volume on the Wreck, so to get the sweet spot in a small club setting you will need an attenuator
Both amps can cover about the same ground and style, but the Wreck is smoother and louder. I don't really miss my RxJr (or ES), or any other Z amp since getting the Z-Wreck, it has easily moved into the *best* amp I've ever owned (and I've had a lot in the past 10 years).
