So, I have a Zwreck on loan while I count down the days until my Therapy arrives. I have honestly been really blown away by the wreck, see my thread titled "Wow". Last night I took the wreck to church for praise band rehearsal. What an amp. I used my guitar volume to go from clean to dirty. It is so amazing how sensitive this amp is to guitar volume (gv) and your pick hand. For one song I didn't mess with the gv at all, I just strummed lighter on the verses and then dug in a little more on the chorus, when solo time came, I flipped to my hotter bridge pup and BAM, cut right thru. I didnt touch a dirt pedal all night and never reached for my clean boost either. It was like I was using a two channel amp. Volume. The million dollar question. We play with a live drummer so I don't have to be whisper quiet. I had the volume at 11:30 on the amp and my break lite SA on 3 and I was just fine. My 2 cents, God bless, Todd

You are going to hate returning that amp, Todd. I bet it is very complementary to a Therapy. You're right about the BL. For live use 2 or 3 clicks does the trick. I prefer 2

I shouldn't have read this. My main gig now is playing at church...must resist Z-Wreck...

I shouldn't have read this. My main gig now is playing at church...must resist Z-Wreck... We'll see how Sunday goes but I wouldn't be bummed if this was my main church amp. The OD is really nice because it doesn't get real aggressive at the lower volumes which fits the style of music we play at my church.

Service went great this morning. I had two leads that sounded real nice. On my way out an older gentleman stopped me to compliment my playing and thought I should do more because it sounded good. Made me smile. Next time I am on schedule I will probably have my Therapy. Zwreck is now on my bucket list! Todd

This is exactly the way I want to move toward with my rig. Over many years, I have become dependent on the venerable OD pedal or two for dirt, instead of doing it the way I cut my teeth on back in the day with an ol' 50w Marshall (non-master).
Not to say that I'll ever give up having a drive pedal, but I'd sure like to get to where I really don't feel I need one or more.
What geetar were you using Todd?

I'm one of those wierdos who like Parkers. I have a swamp ash body Parker Nitefly that is my main guitar. With the Wreck I primarily used the next possition single coil and then switch over to the bridge humbucker. I love having some much volume control by using my guitar

It's about time! That amp needs to confess, cuz it's such a bad amp! (bad meaning amazingly awesome).

I used the Wreck again at church this last Sunday, really like what it does although I forgot to bring my break lite SA with me this time and I really missed it. Forced me to turn the amp down in the clean range (sound great by the way) and then I just hit my Dirty little Secret for some grit. Mmmmmm, tasty! Todd

not to hijack this, but for you guys who like the wreck but need lower volumes (like me) you really owe it to yourself to go and try an M12 with all the knobbies rolled up...
very similar feel to the wreck IMHO and at 12 watts i can get mine right into the sweet spot - even at church!
