I can't find a SS rectifier plug in for a 5Y3, can a SS 5AR4 be used like the GT SS5AR4?

You might want to consider one of Ted Weber's Copper Caps. The model WY3GT looks promising for your application. I run a PAIR of the 5U4 style Copper Caps in my Gretsch Super Bass. Saves about 6 amps of current draw and the resultant heat in the power transformer. www.webervst.com/ccap.html

Let me insert a word of caution here..
Switching from a 5Y3 tube rectifier to the "garden variety" solid state plug-in replacement rectifier will raise the DC voltages throughout your amp considerably. It will shift the bias point of your tubes and depending on the amp (and its state of maintenance) might exceed the voltage rating on the power supply filter caps.
The Weber Copper Caps have a voltage drop built in that duplicates the rectifier type it's replacing.
