It took awhile but I made the decision awhile back to get rid of my 4x10 cab and move my M12 head into a combo cab. I decided I wanted 2x10 to sound as big possible. I got one Z Red Fang from Mark (basemententhusiast) and one from Ronnie (rcrelius)... Many thanks guys! The Red Fangs are loud, have strong bass and terrific top-end chime. The 2x10 combo sounds quite big. So I'm digging it and really happy with the results. And now a 3-day weekend to enjoy it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Man I know this is an old thread but the idea of 2 red fangs in a cab sounds awesome to me. How are you liking it after a few months?

I totally missed this, but better late than never:). It sounds really big. I'm a fan of the Red Fangs. I like the fullness and chime of the speakers, and I think they go very well with the M12. I'd love to try a couple of Golds some day, but I'm really happy for now

I'd love to try a couple of Golds some day, but I'm really happy for now I actually like the Red Fangs a lot more than the Gold....The Red Fangs just seemed to have more personality of their own to bring to the tone table where as the Gold seemed more neutral. Not like it's a bad speaker...and everyone seems to adore it, but after owning both I'd pick the Fangs over the Gold. Great choice to boost the volume of the M12 a tad too over the Gold which is 2 db less.

The volume is definitely there. I really liked the 4x10 cab and how big it sounded. I'm glad that downgrading didn't lose me too much volume. I can feel the bass, and the cleans are rich and full sounding.

A 2x12 w/Creambacks also adds that fullness. The M12 really casts a big tone, with multiple speaker cabs. (IMHO) I'd like to try it with a Z-Best.
