So I have been having problems all of a sudden out of the blue with my Maz Jr, low end howling, whistling, ticking etc. I thought that it was my OD pedals as it would only happen when OD was on, now its all happening when the amp is just clean, its sporadic but happening non the less and more frequently. I just installed all brand new tubes today thinking that would solve the issue. Not. Its still happening. Somethings going on and Jr needs to go see the Dr. Does the Doc let people come by the shop and drop off amops to get a look over and check up? Im about 2.5-3 hours away from him and figured Id make a drive some day soon if he lets people stop by. Figured Id bring the amp and leave it for him to check over and then pick up when done with the physical. I haven't a clue whats wrong with it and why its making these noises all of a sudden out of the blue.

Only one way to find out, and that is to call the shop.

Send a note to Z repairs (go to zamps website under contact us). Explain ehat's happeninig / they might have some thoughts about causes. Ask Don if you can drop it off - he's a good guy.

The folks at the shop can get it right. I was having an issue that new tubes didn't seem to fix, and the factory got everything set to rights.

At one time I was a Factory Authorized Service Tech for several major amp brands. I thought about getting certified for work on Dr. Z amps (if that is possible) but then I figured that it wouldn't be worth it because they hardly ever fail. When they do it's usually because of a bad tube, which most owners can replace themselves. I wouldn't be able to make any money.
