I just had to put this out there...I am in love with my Timmy pedals! Man...all these years of buying, selling, trading, knob twisting, rearranging order, this that and the other thing, I have settled on this incredible OD! I have two of em side by side and just LOVE what they do for me.

I really like mine as a boost with a little hair on it. I'm not much on transparent overdrives, I like me some mids, but the timmy works great for boosting an amp or other pedals.

I am with you, Mark! I LOVE the EQ shaping abilities of the Timmy. I realized after getting one that it was going to be one of those pedals I never sell. Wait a minute - there is no such thing! Kidding aside, the Timmy is a keeper. I use mine set pretty clean and then I use the bass and treble to dial in my tone for whatever room I am in.
Lot's of pedals claim to be transparent, pretty much only the Timmy is, imo!

+ 1 on the Timmy.
I A/B'd it last night against a Zen and the Timmy stayed on the board. I set mine like Eddie describes….mild OD.

Frank, I had an RC for a while. I really liked it a lot! In fact, I think all of the Xotic stuff is top notch. I think the Timmy has even better control over the tone shaping of your sound. The tone controls are a little strange to get used to - they work backwards. The bass is diminished as you turn it up and the treble is accentuated as you turn it down. I think the instructions said something about the reason for this, but I don't remember what that reason is. Whatever the case, the tone controls on the Timmy are perfectly tuned to allow you to get your sound just right with any guitar or amp.
I don't use mine for heavy grind, however. I leave the clipping switch set to bypass, turn the volume all the way up, add just a bit of gain, then I tweak the tone controls.
Like the RC, I find it hard to turn the Timmy off once it is on - and that's regardless of what other pedals in the chain are on with it.

I use mine for mild grind to a bit of added fat to my tone...I have the gain at 9-10 on the surf green and at noon on the purple one. Eq'ing is different as well simply because the green one is brighter in tone, not to mention color...haha. I love em, they are keepers. It's the perfect tone for my style, my tele and Maz jr

Which ODs, besides Timmy x 2, are on your board now, Mark? I know you've had Xotic, Jetter and others in the past.

I realized Timmy was / is a keeper when I first put it on the board. Had an RC and several others that left when I got the Timmy. Two of them, there's a thought.

I had my BB in between em but just for the sake of it, I tried them on their own and I really dig what I am hearing. Ballsy, sweet OD, perfectly suited to my style, my tele and the Maz. It's not a heavy OD at all...just some really sweet Maz plus some growl OD...LOVE IT! I did add an MXR Micro amp as a boost...couldn't find me a Flying Dragon when I wanted one...bought the MXR and two popped up here! hahaha! !

Keith Holy Moly, Keith!!! You know, with pedals, it would be just as easy to send em to my address in Maine and pay another $15 or so from here to you...man, that's frustrating as hell!!
