IT'S HERE!! I have taken some pics of the unpacking etc., and will upload those as soon as I can. I've had literally 15 minutes play time (Les Paul Special - Lollar P90s only), and I will try and be objective and go easy on the hyperbole, but let me say at the outset....... WOW, WOW, WOW! As an overview, it's like an ideal cross between the Z28 and the Remedy - it has that punch and girth of the Z28 which never gets fizzy of flubs out and makes every setting and every guitar just sound MORE - I am just dying to hear my Strat and Tele through this boyo, and I rarely hanker after humbuggies, but man alive, that Les Paul 60s Custom Shop John has is just crying out for this amp!! Yet it has all the drive and RAWK of the Remedy, and some! It is certainly more modern than the Remedy in terms of OD tones: I'm sort of thinking of the difference between the Vintage and Modern voicing on an Antidote, or the Speed and Comfort settings on the Z Wreck..... the Therapy is all Speed and Modern, yet can easily deliver some of the coolest early 70s rock tones (think Jimmy Page at his punchiest, or Pete Townsend Live at Leeds), and then comes the early 80s hard rock tones!! PERFECT. (not not not the uber-hotrodded widdly widdly stuff of Vai/Satriani et al, but earlier than that), and MUCH more tone-full IMHO. My son Ruari is over, and I got him to play it (he's much better than me, but don't tell him ) - he was actually laughing at one point, the tunes were just flying off his fingers! He flicked to the neck pup, and out blasted Sweet Child o' Mine tone perfect, for example - from P90s! This thing PUNCHES! Man, it shifts air! It has a sparkly top end, but NEVER harsh (I don't know how the Doc has done this, but it is magical!), yet the bottom end is tight. There's a lovely tight elasticity in the mids too - they are all present and correct, yet not over-powering (not the over-rectified Mess O Boogers thing at all), but do a fast ripping slide up the strings between phrases, and it's like a flexing saw! Wonderful! Mute the left hand on all strings, and heavy strum the right hand - CLANG CLANG CLANG! GREAT STUFF! Now, settings: all this done with Volume (read Gain) at 2 o'clock; T at 2; M at noon; B at 10; MV about 10 (like the Remedy, I wouldn't go below 9 on the MV as it starts to break up a bit more, although it still sounds really good. In fact, right down to 8 is perfectly useable and sounds great, it just gets dirty quite quickly, which for sitting room use might be a good thing - no need for pedals!) You can easily max the Volume, but it's a bit much in that it reacts totally differently than the Remedy Hi V. For me the Rem was at its best with Hi V maxed; N V off, and the GV rolled way back. There was a whole bunch of harmonics appeared when the Hi V was maxed. Not so with the Therapy - the harmonics are there from the get-go and just get "more" as you increase the V - I found them to be just about perfect at 2 o'clock. Janie Mack, this thing is addictive! Phew! Pedals: this thing takes pedals like the Z28!! Again, I have NO IDEA how the Doc does this. On these settings, I can kick in the EP, and everything thickens up and becomes almost FUZZ like (good, rich, musical fuzz - not the over-the-top stuff - think Queens of the Stone Age, No-One Knows, and you're there). Kick in the SL and it just lifts, boosts and you get a louder, fuller, beefier solo tone ( a lot like the EQ Bypass does for the Remedy, but more of the colour of the SL, obviously!). I've found I've reduced the settings on all my pedals, as I need less of everything, because so much of everything just gets through - less chorus, less delay, less dirt - just the way it works on the Z28. I can't wait to hear what Dave Baker makes of this amp............ or Joe Walsh, come to that (he has GOT to get one of these, Doc!) Okay, enough for now - I NEED to gig this baby a few times, but I am now afraid............. I think there is a real possibility that this boyo could dislodge my beloved Z28 from its Desert Island spot.............. that is some admission.

I take it you kinda like the amp, Pete Can't wait to get mine and compare notes. I'm especially keen on a/b with the Z Wreck (combo, probably, since it's become my main gig amp).

Sounds great Pete. Like everyone else l need to hear a demo but seriously tempted just to buy it unheard. I get disappointed too often with humbuckers into my maz then get blown away by it with a strat or Tele. Need something to compliment my Gibson's hence looking at the remedy. I could always make the trip to peach but bit of a jaunt there and back in a day but worth it l am sure.(plus just got a new car that does 25 mpg on a good day where my old one did 40 mpg on a bad day!)

He's not wrong. It is a great all round speaker, but I feel a Creamback may just bring out even more that this amp has to offer......... but as you can see, I have NO complaints whatsoever!!

I haven't got an HB guitar, so can only go on what I managed at Peach a few weeks back, and I have to say the LP I played then sounded epic through the Therapy, so much so, I now want one for the first time ever! I keep thinking HiWatt 100 when I play this amp........ and I have no idea why as no-one else ever mentions it! Maybe that's entirely the wrong amp comparison, but there's something about that big, resonant, metalic-yet-warm tone, not clean exactly, but not gritty-fizzy at all, which just rings out. Maybe it's this "big bottle" thing people keep talking about...... I don't know enough amp-tech, vintage-tone to speak with authority, but I like what I hear! Oh, and I know not many are fans of the Edge, but I have always loved this tone (and I can get it in spades with the Therapy!): and it gets THIS tone perfectly!!

Congrats, Pete. Can't wait to hear it. I'm tempted to sell the Remedy to fund a Therapy, but if I can hold out for a few months, I think I can swing it and still keep the Remedy.

Here are some pics - BTW, I got Serial Number 2, and a personal message from the good Doc YAY! Well, I guess that means you can't get rid of this amp then. Either that or if you sell it, you have to sell it to another person named Pete!

Can't wait to get my Therapy Funnily enough, neither am I - I respect them both, and have enjoyed many a U2 song in my youth, but never been a Led Zep fan. That being said, I love some tones they get, and to our ears (my son and i) we got these tones in spades......... Enjoy!

Congrats Pete! Great review! I don't get mine 'till Monday I had FedEx hold it for pickup as I wasn't going to be home yesterday and it added a day of delay. I too LOVE the Page clip from "It Might Get Loud". Also, I have a feeling English John has serial #1

Thanks Pete for the review , can you compare the Therepy to the EZG 50 ? Seems from what you wrote its a little dirtier ? Pete, please tell me this thing has way more gain than an EZG50 ! I per-ordered on the basis of the discussion that this amp was being compared to the 65 Amps Whiskey (from a gain perspective). The notion was that the Whiskey was more compressed, etc, but I was under the impression that the Therapy was similar, just not as compressed with more articulation. Pete, have you heard the Therapy next to he Whiskey and if so, are they similar? Keith

I just listened to those Youtubes you put up Pete. It defiantly sounds a little nastier, in a good kind of way. Funny I remember guys saying they thought the EZG reminded them of hi-watt amps.......I'm hoping to get down to the shop and try one this week. Thanks again, how bout a quick and dirty IPhone clip or something Bro ?
