Does anyone have a read on about how long your average EL34 power tubes will last (total hours) in a KT45 running at 3-3-3? My guess is somewhere around 60-100 hours, but I'd like to hear from others who have longer experience with this amp than I do (had one now for 6 weeks!).
Also, any idea how many watts the KT45 is putting out at that setting? I'm guessing considerably more than 45, maybe around 65-70?
Thanks!

In my case not very long. Can't actually define the number of hours used easily but had my KT45 just under 2 years. Average usage in band rehearsal about 2 hours per fortnight and gigs say 40 minute set around 1 per month. Last month 2 songs into our set my amp died. My amp repair guy said an output valve blew taking with it the other output valve and also 2 bias resistors. Cost me £108 to fix. Not happy!!

Hey decadentdave, JJ EL-34's are probably the most rugged 34's currently being built. But hey they are glass and are a bit fragile. Ruff handling has more to do with tube failure the actual usage. Putting a hot amp head in a trunk of a car and driving over potholed streets doesn't help the life of the tube.
I have NEVER seen a 34 fail and take out the other tube or its SCREEN resistor. He over repaired your amp, which maybe a good thing for overall reliability, or just a way to increase your bill. Don't know the cat but both scenarios can be true.
A couple of years use from currant production tubes isn't altogether a bad thing. Let's see how long the new set lasts. BTW what type 34's did he use?

Can't recall the make of tubes used, will have to check. You may have a point about rough handling though. I'm very careful with my gear but on the drive to the gig where the amp failed I had to slam on the brakes and all my gear did get shaken up!!
