I'm thinking about putting one of Celestion's G12H-75 Creambacks in a 1x12 and running it with my KT45. The speaker is rated for 75w. I'm guessing I should be OK since my assumption is the KT45 puts out somewhere around 70+w when its cranked up, but not in excess of what the single Creamback can handle. Anyone else have an opinion on using a KT45 with a 1x12? Favorite speaker choices?
I have several Eminence options in hand, but I don't like any of them compared to the way my 2x12 with G12M-65 Creambacks sounds, so I'm trying to get a little bit of that quality in the 1x12 and would like to stick with Celestion if possible.

I think you're fine w/ the G12H-75. The two main 1X12s I run my KT w/ are Celestion Gold (50 watt) and G12-65. I run pretty much the 3-3-3 setting, and the Gold handles it just fine. 75 watts will be quite safe.

Thanks! I've always felt Celestion speakers are rated somewhat conservatively, but they CAN be blown... I suppose if a 50w Gold has been ok at 3-3-3 then a G12M 65 Creamback would be fine too. I actually prefer the 65 over the 75 with the kt45. More honky mids!
