I'm on the lookout for a used stangray head,I'm a big brad paisley fan and really fancy a stangray,I already have a maz jnr with matching 2x10 cab so was wondering if the cab is a good match for the stangray or do I need to start looking for another cab too? I do have an old 2x12 cab with a pair of greenbacks in would this be better? Cheers llew.

I just got a stingray and use a 2x12 open back Z with greenbacks and I think it sounds great. I think a 2x10 would sound fine as well with appropriate type speakers that many people suggest on the forum.

There's a used stangray head for sale in the buy/sell section for an INCREDIBLE price!
There will be small differences in the 2x10 cab vs the 2x12 with greenbacks. It's just what sounds best to your ears. Are they both openback? I would think that having an openback cab is just as important as what speakers are in them.

The Ray has a lot of Low end on tap, which is normally lost a little bit when using 10s.... But I think with the extra low end the Ray has, the 2x10s will sound pretty good, while keeping the mids nice and punchy.
