Hello, I just had the master volume and tone circuit bypass mods done to my Remedy and I am very happy with the result. I could almost say this amp gives you pretty much any sound at pretty much any volume; it's really amazing...the only thing missing at the lower volumes is the color that the speakers bring to the party at higher volumes. Question: Where would you set the master volume to have the equivalent controls that were there before the master volume was added? In other words, if in some universe, for some reason, you wanted to go back to ONLY having the High and Normal volume controls; where would you set the Master to make it the most transparent? The reason I ask is to better understand how it works. Same question for the tone circuit bypass, but I would venture a guess that you could not get a Remedy without a tone bypass to sound the same as one that does; because it takes the whole tone control circuit out of the loop, and that can't be duplicated by adjusting the pots. Is that about right? Thanks in advance and for those who are undecided on getting their Remedy modded....wow...I highly recommend it. I may have a LOT of pedals for sale here soon! Regards, DD

My understanding is that if you dime the master, it essentially removes it from the circuit? I'm sure someone who is 100% on that will confirm.

i believe if you turn the MV all the way up it is the same as taking it out of the circuit. That's how my MAZ GT and Monza MVs work. Also, I don't think you can get tone-bypass on sound on a non-modded Remedy since it is taking the EQ out of the tone stack all-together.

as as been said twice, max the MV, and it's as if it isn't there, and the Remedy becomes as it was before the MV mod......and the better still, the MV works better than a brake lite, so if that's what you;re used to and you like it, then you should love the MV...... well, not "you" as such, but "one"

I think that Roknfnrol (who recently sold his Remedy around here.. or maybe it's still for sale?) had the EQ Bypass mod done but not the MV mod on his. Like Jaguarguy said, though, crank the "Master" all the way up and it'll be just like before the mod.
As for making the EQ sound the same as pre-mod, well.. just don't engage the EQ bypass and viola! That's the non-EQ-bypass sound right there.
