Hey guys, Ive got an Rx Es head thats been at my local music stores repair shop for 2 weeks...the tube socket for the Ef86 tube was bad apparently, but the repair guy hasnt gotten around to replacing it. Ive got lots of gigs coming up, so Im just going to replace the socket myself...is there anything I need to take into consideration while doing this?? I can solder, I just want to make sure theres nothing else I need to do. Thanks!!

if it's just a socket swap, it should be straight forward. Antique Electronics (tubesandmore.com)has a decent selection of 9 pin sockets. i got some ceramic ones from them to use for repairs and projects.
