Hey dudes. I just had a few quick questions about the rock tones of the Remedy. My first Z was a Ghia going into a 2x12 Orange cab, probably not the best setup for the Ghia, but it's what I had at the time. After getting sick of lugging around a 75lb cab to jam sessions, I sold it and the Ghia. To me and for the style of music I play, the Ghia just couldn't rock hard enough. I feel like it's more of a dirt country amp.. I play w/ P-90s and could never get the Ghia to "bark".. Well, fast forward.. I sold off the Ghia and the Orange and bought a Marshall 1974x.. Blows the Ghia out of the water for rock&f'in roll.. I want another Z and have been looking into the Remedy. I'm going to keep the Marshall for sure, but would like to add the thickness of the 6v6 based circuit.. From the demos I've seen, the Remedy sounds pretty bad arse (probably should have been my first Z).. So basically, I'm just making sure the Remedy can blow the Ghia out of the water for rock tones.. I'd be going into a 1x12 w/a Creamback.

Btw.. In no way am I taking anything away from the Ghia, that thing was gnarly..just didn't suit my tastes. The build quality on the Ghia was AMAZING!

The Remedy will get the job done. The Ghia has a glassy over drive that really shows the voice of the guitar.
The Remedy breaks up early and just keep going. It still not a total saturation OD but is much more than the Ghia. With the two input level controls you can really dial in bright and dark gain and blend them.
Half power switch, MV and tone bypass make the Remedy pretty amazing.
Hope this helps, Todd

I'm playing P90s in this video. Remedy full power into a Zbest with Creambacks.

Thanks, Todd..that's exactly what I'm looking for. I was a few hours late on a recent post in the BST, but hopefully one will pop up sooner or later.

JSA.. Is that straight up guitar to amp tone?? I see you messing w/ that volume knob a lot.. Cleaning it up and dirtying it up w/ just the turn of a knob. That is key.. That's how I've been working the 1974x. No pedals...just LP Jr and amp.

The Ghia is DEFFLY not what you want.
Prolly not the Remedy either. Stick w/the 1974x. I gig w/a Ghia 1x10 Red Fang + Zendrive 90% of the time. That rig will absolutely smoke a current production 100 watt Marshall 1/2 stack. NOT trying to start none, don't want none.
I gigged a JMP 100 watt 1/2 stack for damn near 40 years.... still got it. Gimme the little Ghia 1x10 RF, a "good" OD, a Shure 57, and a decent PA........I'll kick a 100 watt fire breather's azz on ANY outdoor stage.
Clubs?........ The Ghia 1x10 is a no-brainer.

No pedals, just working the volumes on the LP with p90s.

That sounds pretty gnarly for 2 o'clock.. I can dig it. T-Rock.. I like your style. F*#%100 watters and 4x12 cabs! But seriously.. I once had a JCM 2000(100 watter) into a 1960b.. Pretty HUGE sounding to me.. Dime her to 11 and that will pretty much singe all nut hairs within a 20 foot radius.
