I currently own a Monza 1x12 (with MV) which I really like but from time to time feel as though it's a bit too aggressive for my liking. Typically play Strats into either a few drives (Timmy, Barber Gain Changer and/or Bondi Sick As) and a delay (Belle Epoch) or simply straight into the amp. When I'm not recording, I do most of my playing at home and with kids, I find most of my time to play later in the evening so a master volume or attenuator is a must. That said, I like for my amp tone to have a slight amount of break-up.
Wondering if the Maz 8 would better suit my needs versus the Monza and if so, 1x12 2x10 or head and cab?

I am also curious about this. The Maz 8 seems like a perfect practice amp that can also be brought to jam sessions.

I have all three Maz amps. I use the Maz 8 primarily at Church. But, there are one or two small (quieter) blues jams that I take it. I'm very pleased with it. I use my Maz 18 for club gigs and my Maz 38 for outdoor or large room gigs. I'm very pleased with all three. All three have Brake-Lites installed, but I typically only use the one on the Maz 8 at home.
