Finally tried the dote' with a creamback (thanks Bryan!). Dropped it in a closed back 1x12 and let her rip. I A/B'd it with a G12H-30 and really appreciated the drop in db's. I have been waiting to try this combination before commenting too much on the dote. I have ran it through a gold and a V-30 as well. The gold was really nice, which I did not expect, the V-30 was ok and the G12 but the creamback kills. I would imagine two would be awesome. Friend brought over his red plate to try as well, I think it is now on his short list.
The dote' is one big sweet spot. I have been twisting the EQ all over the place and everything sounds so nice. The Maz is the only amp I have owned that I was able to use extreme EQ settings on and get great tones. So far I have been living on the vintage setting. I love the modern but just need to work with it more.

Cool. I had a creamback that I put in my 1x12 probably the 2nd day after I got my antidote. Ran it closed back for awhile, but opened up the back now for a few weeks, may give closed back a try again. What guitars are you using? boost or drives? Attenuator? It does drop the Dbs back abit, noticibly, but can still get the ears ringing for sure!!!!

I am currently running keeley mod cry baby>KOT (still on the fence with)>flying dragon>supatrem>deep blue delay>WET>Dote'. It kills total rock machine, still loud (3 clicks) but very usable without a drummer, excited to add the drummer. Currently using a traditional Les Paul factory bigsby with 57 and 57 plus stock pick ups. Just got the treble mod added which I feel helped quite a bit.

Mmmmm.... 'Dote through a Creamback is yummy! I'll risk being a broken record (see my other recent posts). I have the Creamback in an Orange PPC 1x12 closed back cab. It is better than the V30, but the V30 is a rocker! The 'Dote is good at any and all settings. When I first turned it on I had all the tone controls off and it sounded good. I knew it was a keeper. (I wish I could keep a few more!) I'll often boost for jamming to appease the drummer and keep the volume down. I also use a Brake Lite at jam and at home (this keeps my bride happy). Best time is when home alone with the 2010 R8 (with recently added Antiquities) and cranking the volumes. Clean to mean with the twist of a volume knob or the variation on pick attack. So sweet. Vintage is sweet, but softer than Modern, sort of '70's Stones compared to Rocks era Areosmith. Both rock. I play somewhat blues influenced rock and this amp does that. Play on Brothers, play on!

. I play somewhat blues influenced rock and this amp does that. And thats pretty much what I like to play too......recently dug out some old cassette tapes of mine, "Steppenwolf" Born to be wild.....Antidote covers that to my ears , and I have no idea what amps they used, but it was fun to jam out:)
