Hi all! Thinking about getting a Maz 8 for home playing only! Just got rid of a Blackstar Artisan 15 combo! Any advice would be good as not many clips on the net. Do I go for studio or normal size cab and speaker choice? Is she a bit loud for home only use? I love pedals so could overdrive that way. They look cool in blonde

I have all three Maz amps. I use the Studio Combo Maz 8 at church and for small venues. I'm very pleased with it.

Welcome to the forum! I would say the Maz 8 "could" be loud for home use , but it is also an amp that still sounds great at low volume. And the triode mode drops the volume pretty good. I like the studio combo cab , much easier to lug around and retains plenty of bottom end IMHO. As far as speakers , that's up to your personal taste. Guys here love the Blue , I have the stock G12H30 and really like it. It's a truly amazing amp.
(Oh , yeah - they look GREAT in blonde)

When the venue is a little bigger, I bring an extension cab with a Blue. When it's even bigger, I bring the Maz 18.

I would be interested to know why you got rid of the Blackstar.
