I've been mulling this idea around in my head for a while not. I've said that I was done with combo amps since I had back surgery, but for the sake "grab and go" purposes I'm really considering working towards turning mine into a 1x12 or 1x10 combo.
Anybody ever considered this before? I don't exactly have the funds for this right now, but I don't necessarily think it would be that difficult. I've just never built my own cab before, so I'm a bit of a novice when it come to figuring out the best way to do it.

I'd go for a 1x12 combo, for sure, but it looks to me like everything would be upside down unless you put the chassis on the bottom of the cabinet and left enough room for the tubes, trannies, and other guts to fit before you mounted the speaker (s).
It would be an odd-looking beast. .

It's only 3 knobs. So the words are upside down?

haha I don't think that will really bother me. I'm not super anal about things like that.
