Just for kicks here... it's pretty self-explanatory, I think. For instance, many have said that the MAZ is a Strat amp, or that the Stingray/Mantaray/StangRay just kills with a Tele, etc. What's your opinion on the Monza? (Feel free to select more than 1.)
If it helps, let's assume it's the "loaded" 1×10 combo version, including MV and Red Fang 10. (Why? 'Cause that's what I have!)

My Parker sounded great although it was a bit dark. The gain was awesome though!

I'm sure hoping my SG does. I'm expecting my new Monza with MV mod any day...

Off the top of my head I would say single coils may be a bit more versatile in the Monza, but it just sounds so good with humbuckers!!!

I'm rather surprised by the poll results so far, since (at this point) nobody's selected "Strat" as a preferred guitar into the Monza.
I've actually been using my Strat (with Fralin vintage pup's) into my 4-knob Monza 1×10 combo w/G10 Greenback and it really sounds sweet. At V 11:00, Dr 1:00, T 1:00 (and MV as loud as I could take) it's like a really nice dynamic amp with a built-in Tube Screamer, of sorts. Kind of SRV-ish, in a way, or dare I say Dumble-like. Great lead drive tone, but not distorted.
Now, I know the Monza gets a lot of praise for that "Billy in a box" cranked distortion but I'm really digging it for it's "Drive" and how it can thicken up a Strat just enough to give it that lead sound. (I'm thinking this is maybe how Carl Verheyen uses his SRZ-65, also?) Quite simply, this amp will sound amazing all day long with the knobs set at "12-12-12" (MV wherever you want), very much like the crowd favorite "3-3-3" setting on the Z-28. Anybody else using it this way?
Aside from the aforementioned G10 Greenback (trial run, replacing the RF) I've still yet to try a 5751 in V1 to see what that does.. maybe it'll sweeten things up a bit more, or expand the gain range before distortion sets in. I'll let you guys now what I find once I go down that road.

When I had my Monza, man I couldn't leave it alone w/ my Goldie LP P90...I'd have a bunch of flaxen mini-Monzas running around! Seriously, the P90 Les Paul was fantastic with the Monza to my ears.

^ Guess I've gotta put down that Strat and plug my SG w/ P90's into it..!

All of em (or your favorite one)! Every guitar (even lap steels,50s and 60s Kay/Silvertone and Cigar box guits) has been great through the Monza. Might require the slight tweak of knob between guitar types but I haven't found a guitar that hasn't liked tethering to the Monza. The most improved guitar through the Monza IMO is the strat (gives it some girth/power even on bridge p/u). That said, I play my R8 the most(she's my #1 for a reason). Just a great amp. So many sounds for so few knobs FWIW- I have nos 5751 in V1 (and V2). I like it that way even more than stock. Gave a little bit more range to the initial onset of volume. Still gets plenty nasty and loud and is a little more defined/detailed or in focus. try it...
