KCA (Mike) recommended NOS JAN Phillips 6V6GT quad for Remedy. Anybody used them or other NOS? How does NOS hold up as compared to new production tubes? Sound? I have been very happy with some NOS preamp & rectifier tubes, but need advice on NOS power tubes. Thanks

The Remedy has higher voltages than many 6V6's will tolerate. You wouldn't want to spend big bucks on NOS and just light them on fire...

Doc says JJ 6V6 and only JJs - due to the voltages as mentioned above by Steve.
You pays yer money, you takes yer chance...........

I was considering those same tubes from Mike when I had my Remedy. I always wondered if those rugged, overbuilt Joint Army Navy tubes would hold up in the Remedy, but never had the nerve, extra $$ to try them. The JJ's sounded great anyway.
....Wonder what to do if JJ ever stops making those 6V6's??

My 2c: DO NOT TRY anything but JJs in your Remedy. The Doc recommends no others, and so do I.I even sent a message to Mike at KCANOS, and he said that the rem handles very high voltages. I tried Tung-Sols, and they were blown, I tried some Russian NOS ones, and they were blown, as well as a cap and a couple of resistors, so DO NOT USE anything but JJs. Tons of tone!!
