Wow.. Thanks for the welcomes.. Fedex showed up today.. I had a couple of hours to put her through her paces. This amp exceeds all of my expectations. Gratuitous gear shot.. The Remedy will be the only amp that hits the stage with me.. I'm still in awe.. I like your style. ;D

Been away for a bit. The band finished our latest project and played a bit. I had a chance to put some time in with my Remedy. WOW!! This amp is LOUD!!
Example: We opened for Corey Smith, a fairly new country artist. The show sold out at about 2000 people. Big room and obviously, BIG sound / lights. Running at 20 watts, I was still asked to turn down :-O B-) Go figure.. I never thought a 20 watt amp would do for me but Dr Z has me changing my thinking.
I'm considering the M12, Maz18 NR, Monza. Still want to try out a new Remedy w/ PPIMV and EQPB and my Remedy absolutely stays. Until then, I'll probably turn my cab backwards and cover it so I can crank it a bit. The tone of my amp KILLS!!

Looks like you have an Avatar cabinet underneath the head. I have a Remedy with an Avatar 1-12 Celestion Creamback, Z Best with a Greenback and an old Vintage 30 and an Avatar 2-12 closed back with a Vintage 30 and an ASW KTS-60. I can cover small venues (2000 sq ft) to outdoor festivals with the Remedy and those cabinets(mic'ed of course). You really owe it to yourself to get the mods done on your Remedy. The master volume mod is truly a game changer. You can get your tone at most any volume. I play modern country and rock with a Les Paul and the Remedy is magic with a good LP.

The cab is an Avatar Vintage 212 CB w/ the cheaper G12H30s. They don't sound like absolute poop but there's room for improvement. I have a quad of Alnico Golds but they're too chimey/sizzley with all of my amps. I'm probably going to get a matching Dr Z 112 cab w/ either a Vintage 30 or a greenback variant like a Scumback or ASW. I like the idea of a 112 setup, with the right speaker.
Ideally, I'd like to keep this Remedy original and buy a new model one. I really need to take my guitar and spend a day at Humbucker Music, if they'd let me.
Until then, I have a mid 80s' Marshall 1965A (410) that is all original. I'm going to see if I can make it work.
I'm also currently playing modern country - originals and covers. Not a big leap from my southern rock roots.
Kudos to the Doctor!!

There is only one thing better than one Remedy and that is two of 'em. The Creamback is magic with the Remedy. The lower db rating might be just what you need if you decide on a 1-12.

I've tried the G12H30's with the Remedy.....to me....yes, they do sound like absolute poop. Even worse if it's a closed back cabinet. Anything in the greenback camp is absolutely perfect for the Remedy. It's a 2x12? Personally, I'd get either a pair of used greenbacks (the cheaper Chinese versions are just fine....LOTS of them on Ebay), or a pair of WGS Green Berets. (Greenback clones) I have one in another cabinet. Very Nice. WGS speakers are great and inexpensive. wgs4.com/content/gbNo need to spend the extra money on a creamback when it's a 2x12. I would think either used greenbacks or the WGS green beret would be a MUCH cheaper alternative than Scumbacks or ASW. (ASW greenback clone= $219??? Really? You gotta be kidding me! WGS greenback clone=$69...1/3rd the price!!!)

Agree on the WGS GBs. Very impressive and a great value. I will definitely replace the G12H30s with them.
In the near term, I decided to run my Marshall 410, get a backup head, and hopefully, I can send my Remedy in for the upgrade.
I was just about to buy a M12 head but alas, UPS will now be delivering a new MAZ 18 NR head tomorrow. I heard a demo of a Les Paul Jr. into the head with the EQBP. I'M SOLD!!
One thing better than 1 Z is 2 Zs.. Between the Remedy and the MAZ 18, I feel I have my bases covered..
