Hey there, new to the forum and the Dr Z family.. just ordered a Remedy! Should arrive next week. It took a bit of convincing for my wife. Almost got her excited about it, but probably had more to do with a nod for new shoes. So came out of z-talk lurk cover to join my new compardres.

I see many of you like the Creambacks or Golds. Anyone have experience with the Remedy pushing WGS ET65s? I have a Two-Rock 2x12, generation right before they started using Creambacks. I also have a 4x10 cab with tone tubbys in it.

Welcome to the forum - a lot of great people and information here! Be careful though, Zs can be addictive - just look at my signature - I started with just one Z! Ha thanks Mike. I saw that! Slippery slope.. my wife just doesn't understand..

I also have a 4x10 cab with tone tubbys in it. No experience with WGS. I've tried a few diff. speakers and ended up with Creambacks in my Zbest. ALL the speakers I tried sounded good, so I'll bet your Two-Rock and 4X10 will as well.

I've also swapped back and forth in the 1X12 with a WGS G12A. To me, the Et-65 works very well...not too bright, but good articulation..nice midrange, takes pedals well.

I got my Remedy last week and have been playing it ever since. It's a wonderful amp. I got my Remedy and Zbest on 8.5. and got the output tubes really involved and the amp was like an extension of myself if that makes sense. I had listened to Frampton's tone with Humble Pie on 'Rockin' the Fillmore' that day and my Remedy was right there. That's what I'm talkin' about.

Yeah, she will come around - funny, we have the "now this is all I need" conversation regarding equipment about once a year... never gets old. Actually I think it strengthens our relationship.

I'm coming from a GT solo 75 head that I loved; Aspin Pittman made with el34s and solid state rectifier. Had a real quick dynamic response that I loved- you know, could dig in and get more texture, back off and be clean. Problem was to get the back end really in the zone was nearly ear-bleeding. I put KT77s in and focused it for the cleans and "both" setting (runs both clean and scream channels at once kind of like a jumper) - amazing tone. For the past year or so she hasn't taken to the higher bias setting so well and I have been replacing caps etc... harder to rely on and take out to shows anymore. I haven't told her about the Remedy yet...

Real warm and woody. Good to hear on the pedals too- need that. Another addiction that I maintain, though Ive read in here that this amp is a pedal killer! It would be nice to slim down my board...

I also have a 4x10 cab with tone tubbys in it. Welcome to the forum. I use a single WGS ET65 with my Remedy - VERY happy with it. I started out using a C-Gold, but then wanted to try something different. My personal guitar/amp/life guru (folks 'round here refer to him as T-Rock) advised me to purchase an ET65 and admonished that "you will be thanking me later". Yes, here it is - I am thanking him now. I have never played a Remedy thru a Creamback, so I can't comment on any comparison, but I will say I don't want a bright tone (as some have commented on the Creamback), I'm shooting for fatness. Good luck ... oh and one more thing - what's happening with your avatar? kc

Thanks Kc, appreciate this. Im just too damn excited about this amp and hear it with the speakers I have! The wait... the weight. Already getting ahead of myself with questions. I do not have a 1x12 yet- thinking about building one, so will certainly keep the ET65s in mind.

My apologies for typing so loudly- I've been overwhelmed with the most amazing sounds coming out of this amp!. Way past my expectations. Any critique I have at this point is useless, Im under the Remedy's euphoric spell. I will say I cannot imagine this thing without a MV. I would be single real quick. Maddog you were right; I haven't gotten past guitar straight into the amp. I introduce it to the boys tomorrow- we might need to get some mics on the drum kit...
