I can't friggin decide how to arrange the preamp tubes in my SRZ-65.....
If it helps, I'm looking to get a little more Hiwattish headroom than I currently have. I get a nice Marshall type breakup but it comes on a little early.
If anybody's got some suggestions, please chime in!
Here's what I've got to pick from: 1 Original Mullard 12AX7 (currently in V1) 1 GT12AX7M 2 JJ ECC83s (1 currently in V2) 2 JAN GE 5751s (1 currently in V3)
thanks guys,
Johnny

If you want more headroom move the 5751 to V1.

Hi Guys. I have played a lot of tube amps in my life, but am only now getting into the ins-and-outs of building, granular maintainence, etc. Can you give me a quick tutorial on the whole V and P lingo? Such as V1, V2, P1, etc. Thanks!
