Hey everyone
I posted about this over on the Gear Page, too. I just found an old 12AX7 in a 50's reel-to-reel recorder. It has this code: MC1 B6H. I'm assuming it's a Mullard. I'm out of town so I have to wait a few days before I can pop it in my Mazerati. I'm REALLY hoping that it's not microphonic and crappy sounding. There is also an old 6V6GT, a 6K6GT, a 6X5GT and a 6AU6 in there. Makes me want to scour some yard sales for old radios!

Sounds like a Mullard/Amperex long plate ECC83. Those are very desirable and toneful. Due to the long plates they can be microphonic in some amps. Mike K www.kcanostubes.com
