Great finish to a great story! But you're not going to like it all that much. Send it over here and I'll test it for a while, and let you know what I think you need to do. It won't take all that long - just fifteen or thirty six months or more. But think of the great advice I'll be accumulating to forward back to you one day! Ah... just kidding. I got a '69 Les Paul Deluxe at a pawn shop once for $300 and played that guitar till the frets were dang near flat (about 15 years I think). Sold it for $1600 and wishing I had used my pea-sized brain for once and kept it.

Hard to resist 1,600 good reason the sell. Seems just about any guitar I have sold or traded, I have regretted doing so. You'd think we'd catch on by now...

Steve - That looks AWESOME!! What problems did you encounter with the headstock? Congrats on a super job! Thanks Frank. Yeah, the friggin' headstock is plastic which was not discovered until it was painted and it bubbled up. Getting it all sorted out was a pain in the arse. Errrr...

That is SWEEEET! Nice job Steve. Thanks LT. I did very little of the work. My luthier buddy Jeff is the artist. He give me some basic work to do but prefers I provide the libation and moral support. Most of the guys the come to the Michigan Mini Z-Fest have meet Jeff. He is very good and does all the work on my guitars.

Absolutely beautiful Steve!! You got a steal. A real steal. Local pawn shop had a Flying V for sale a few months ago and wouldn't take less than a thousand for it. The back of the neck had so many dings that it that it looked like someone had shot it up with a BB gun. Anyway, the color is perfect. Love the color!
